Camille
South Valley Prince Ha Ha X Midnight Contessa
D.O.B. 3/29/86
Camille is the foundation mare of the breeding program at Windermere Farms.  We purchased her
from the Robinson Family of Richland, MI in late 1988 after showing against her in the two year old
classes all year with our All-American Duke daughter,
Windermere's Queen For A Day.  We purchased
Camille to breed to our stallion
Blackhome Duke, who was by that time gaining momentum as the
breeds premier sire.

Camille was ahead of her time in terms of modernness and size.  Standing over 18 hands, Camille had
the massive size that we wanted to incorporate into our breeding program.  Camille has been Reserve
All-American as well as the 1991 National Champion.  She also won the National Champion Mare Team
class with
Marissa Laet several years in row.  Coming from the line breeding of Justamere Showtime
through his twice grandson South Valley Prince Ha Ha and granddaughter Midnight Contessa (South
Valley Did-It X Countess) made her a perfect out cross to Duke as he had no Justamere Showtime
breeding.  The quality mare lines in her pedigree going back to Drake's Farms Chief and La Rex gave
her the quality we were looking for in a foundation mare.

Camille proved to be a prolific mare during her breeding career.  She produced four foals from
Blackhome Duke, Windermere's Katrina, one of our best producing mares ever, Windermere King
Cong, twice Premier Sire and long time senior herd sire on our farm, Windermere's Cassandra, a four
time All-American, and Windermere's Limited Edition, also an All-American.  Camille also produced
Windermere's Cashmere, a mare who never mare it to the show ring but nevertheless produced three
fantastic foals,
Windermere's Wincredible, Windermere's Black Velvet, and Windermere's Eliminator.
Windermere's Charisma is a Camille daughter who has had a consistent presence in our hitch for the
past 5 years.  Camille's last daughter, an embryo transfer, is
Windermere's Camilla by Windermere's
Eliminator.  This year marked her first on the tanbark and she was 1st and Res. Jr. Champion at the
Ohio State Fair.

Camille gave us both breeding stallions and tremendous brood mares who will continue the
Windermere tradition.  Her daughters and granddaughters have produced numerous All-Americans and
World Champions.  A student of the Percheron breed will find Camille's influence in many herds
throughout the United States and Canada.  We feel very fortunate to have a mare of this caliber and
quality as the cornerstone of the breeding program at Windermere Farms.
